VERIFICATION
Our team reviews the products’ INCIs to verify the products’ eligibility and brand commitment to sustainability.
DISTRIBUTION
If the products are approved for participation, the brand can then send the products to be delivered to the jury for the testing phase.
AWARDS CEREMONY
The awarded products will be celebrated during an awards ceremony.
CRITERIA TO ENTER
– The submitted products must be a minimum of 99% natural origin, and follow natural cosmetics standards, as per leading industry certifications. (Note: we do not require any certifications.)
– Commonly suggested ingredients that are NOT allowed within the participating products (similarly as per leading industry certifications): PEGs, Urea, Phenoxyethanol, Carbomer, and Retinyl Palmitate.
– If you are unsure about the ingredients’ eligibility of a product you would like to submit, you can submit the form above and let us know your question through the same form.
The Jury
The shortlisted products will undergo a rigorous and multifaceted evaluation process conducted by two distinct juries:
1. Star Jury – Representing the Consumer Voice for the Excellence Awards
A world-class jury of diverse European stars: These individuals represent the true voices of your target audience, ensuring the “Excellence Awards” reflect the needs and preferences of conscious consumers across the continent.
They will assess products’ usability, effectiveness, sensorial experience, and overall value.
2. Industry Expert Jury – for the Innovation Awards
An expert jury composed of leading figures in the natural beauty industry: These respected professionals bring their deep knowledge and experience to evaluate the “Innovation Awards“.
They will analyze the products’ formulation, sustainability practices, and groundbreaking concepts, recognizing the most forward-thinking advancements in the natural beauty industry.
This dual-jury approach ensures that shortlisted products receive a comprehensive evaluation, considering both consumer appeal and industry innovation.
This makes the awards valuable for brands, highlighting excellence and the points of view of both consumers and industry leaders.
CATEGORIES
EXCELLENCE AWARDS
Products attaining a minimum evaluation score of 4.0 out of 5.0 from the Star Jury will be honoured with the Excellence Awards.
This recognition signifies that the product has been deemed effective, aligned with its claims, and endorsed by the Star Jury.
INNOVATION AWARDS
The Innovation Awards highlight the products and their makers that show the most advancement in sustainability, formulation, packaging, and collaboration. These categories will be judged by the Industry Expert Jury.
SUSTAINABILITY PIONEER OF THE YEAR
The “Sustainability Pioneer” award honours a product that is innovatively made with environmentally friendly practices throughout the entire product lifecycle.
PACKAGING INNOVATION OF THE YEAR
An award designed to recognize advancements in packaging that demonstrate creativity, sustainability, and functionality.
FORMULA INNOVATION OF THE YEAR
This award honours a product made with new natural ingredients, new properties, or innovative formulation methods that enhance the efficacy, practicality, and stability of natural products.
NEW BRAND OF THE YEAR
An award to help a newcomer to shine in the industry. To be eligible, a brand should be registered earliest in 2024.
